Patricia completed her Master’s Degree in Social Work with a Clinical Specialization at the University of Calgary in 2014 and has been working in a clinical capacity since. She supported rural and urban community members and hospital teams while working with AHS for 10 years and has a special interest in personal protection strategies. Patricia has received specialized training in gold-standard evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She is interested in supporting individuals as they work through a variety of psychosocial concerns, including adjustment to many of life’s changes, interpersonal or occupational challenges, stress management, and grief.

Patricia prides herself on establishing a collaborative, supportive, non-judgemental therapeutic alliance where clear goals can be identified, and positive change can occur. She understands that each individual comes to her office from different walks of life, and she recognizes the importance in considering the impact her client’s environment has on them. Patricia is flexible in her approach, and given her background in various treatment modalities she will work hard to ensure the ‘right fit’ for each individual is established.
