Hello my name is Mackenzie! I have completed a master’s in counselling psychology and continuing education with a PhD in forensic Psychology. As a counselor with extensive experience working with youth and clients in educational settings, I am committed to utilizing evidence-based approaches to therapy, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. I am passionate about using a two- eyed seeing approach in therapy and I am experienced in incorporating indigenous ways of healing into the therapeutic journey. My ultimate goal is to empower my clients, providing them with the tools and support they need to navigate life’s challenges effectively. By combining these therapeutic modalities, I can create a nurturing and collaborative environment that fosters growth and self-awareness. Together, we will embark on a journey of self-discovery, fostering internal coping strategies that will empower clients to face adversity with resilience and embrace positive transformation.

Having now returned to Amiskwaciwâskahikan (Edmonton), Andre is humbled by the opportunity to integrate culturally aware, play-assisted, and cognitive-behavioural approaches to serve his clients and to walk with them on their journey of self-discovery, healing, and growth.
